MISSION
The mission of the Thrift Shop at St. Augustine's Episcopal Church is to reuse and recycle items that have served their purpose for previous owners and that are still in good condition for a new user. Our items for sale are not tagged to keep our costs down. This allows us to offer items at an affordable price for those who need them. When customers find an item (or items) they wish to purchase, they bring them to the cash register where our cashier assesses them and quotes an extremely reasonable price. Most items sell for less than $5.00. WE GIVE BACK! Proceeds from the Thrift Shop flow back to the community. Funds are used for:
VOLUNTEERS Volunteer opportunities include helping to sort, organize, discard, and haul away the many donations received. We also welcome any suggestions of how best to serve the community with Thrift Shop surplus. DONATIONS St. Augustine's is grateful to the community for the many items generously donated to our Thrift Shop! We accept donations when the Thrift Shop is staffed by our volunteers. Please bring your items during these times:
If you have items you would like to donate to the Thrift Shop, please check them first for damage and stains. We cannot repair, clean, or otherwise prepare items for sale. |
