SUNDAY SCHOOL - KEIKI SUNDAYS
Keiki are always welcome at St. Augustine's! To show this, the first Sunday of every month is designated Keiki Sunday to celebrate their presence with us.
Keiki Sunday is designed to be especially welcoming to keiki, who are invited to sit in the front of the church. Keiki (and keiki at heart) are invited to participate in a Godly Play story (offered in place of a sermon).
We also invite them to sit with our Vicar during communion, where they can see, up close, all that happens at the altar as our holy meal is prepared. On Keiki Sundays, our Vicar uses a special altar (a small, low table) and offers the Eucharistic Prayer "noho" style (seated on the floor).
