Services at St. Augustine's
Whether you are looking for a spiritual home or planning a wedding, baptism, or a celebration of life for a loved one who has passed, St. Augustine's community is here to gather with you. Please contact Vicar Jennifer with questions.
Sunday Services - We welcome you to join us on Sundays at 7:00 am in person or 9:00 am (in person or online). God's love is for everyone, no exceptions! Our services are grounded in Episcopal traditions of celebrating God's expansive love as Creator, Teacher, and Spirit of Truth. We honor Queen Emma's and King Kamehameha's invitation to be responsible and humble stewards of Honaula - the ahupua'a upon which St. Augustine's sits. Endeavoring to partner with cultural practitioners, businesses, and members of the North Kohala Community, we hope our services are a reflection of the aloha that lives in this sacred 'āina.
Weddings - We welcome those who are not members of the church to plan a wedding at our historic church. Please note that we cannot offer Episcopal marriage rites to those who are not members of the church, and we do not have a wedding planner or officiant on staff. However, we can recommend wonderful wedding planners and officiants to work with you to create a meaningful and beautiful ceremony! Members of the church may contact Vicar Jennifer to discuss wedding dates, pre-marriage sessions (required), and planning details.
Baptisms - People of all ages are welcome to become members of the church through baptism. Baptisms take place during regular Sunday services, emphasizing the communal nature of the sacrament and allowing the congregation to witness, support, and celebrate the new member's commitment. Those who have been previously baptized in another denomination may choose to become members of the Episcopal Church by participating in confirmation or reception.
Memorial Services - When a loved one dies, being surrounded by a community of loving family, friends, and neighbors can be of great comfort. The people of St. Augustine's provide love, support, and a sense of peace during processes of grieving. Remember that everyone grieves in their own way, on their own time. We are here to walk alongside you.
